remember? Times are changing. Thanks to the nice weather lately and
an invitation from some former solar car team mates to come along and
circumcycle the 'Haarlemmermeer Ringvaart' I back into movement. We
did the 120 km tour twice already. Quite a long distance after not
having touched the bike for more than half a year. I liked it,
though; the lightness of riding my racing bike compared to my utility
bike surprises me every season (should I worry about my memory?). The
second time was much better, musclewise; my bottom needs more time to
adjust though. With a pair of new shoes I took up running again,
too, nicely in time for the Schuttevaer I think.
I think physical exercise for me is a kind of compensation as well.
When performance is lagging in other areas, I feel the need to at
least do something I can feel good about. What's easier than going
running when you have trouble to maintain progress in a project at
work, or when you don't feel like comparing health insurance offers?
